For the GL1500 a good manual appeared.

The book "Honda GL1500 Gold Wing Owners Workshop Manual" is written by Alan Ahlstrand and John H. Haynes.

It contains a comprehensive description of all models GL1500 which appeared in the period from 1988 until 2000 and is also provided with a large number of (black and white) photographs.

This is book # 2225 in the Haynes Owners Workshop Manual Series and is also published in 1998 by Haynes Publishing in Great Britain and by Haynes North America, Inc. in the United States.

This book contains 240 pages. ISBN 1-56392-225-8.

For this website I used some parts of this book.

It's very recommendable.

Also a very nice book about the Goldwing history from the Haynes series is Honda Goldwing from Ian Falloon.

It describes the history from 1975 trough opening the new production plant in Marysville to the new GL 1800 model and the long way before it was ready to go in production.

This book contains 150 pages. ISBN 1 85960 660 1.

It is a very pleasant to read book and filled with lot's of nice photo's.

This is also a good book for Valkyrie fans among you, it is from Osprey automotive written by Malcolm Birkitt.

It is also (duh) about the Goldwing and even the Valkyrie models are described in this book.

But it's an older book, so don't expect any GL 1800 or Rune descriptions.

Filled with nice photo's 143 pages long. ISBN 1 85532 879 8
